Since its inception in 2010, NullCon has focused on information security at its root. It has served as a space for researchers and organizations to present their work, discuss the future of the industry and grow together.
Constantly on the search for the next big thing in infosec, with NullCon 2018 we would like to step into a new domain of Cyber Security in Civil Society.
In the last few years, India has seen a steady growth in technology infrastructure for civil society and government bodies. This infrastructure affects the lives of the citizens of this country, hence warrants the best practices to be followed. To provide a space to have these important discussions, we have decided to pilot a Civil Society Track this year. The track would be held on Day 1 (i.e. 2 March 2018) of the conference and will include talks from prominent Civil Society activists. Faculty from the EFF, Tor, OONI, Internet Freedom Foundation, Access Now and Internet Democracy Project will be a part of this track.
Nullcon 2018 will facilitate discussions around the following topics
Apart from this, we are also hosting a crypto party to provide a space for discussion of privacy and security needs of individuals.
This track is open to all participants of nullcon.
We recommend this track for:
With this track, we hope to enable discussions in order to reduce the gap between the civil society and security communities.
